Elemental Invasions: The Movie

Good news: Monday night is raid night!

Bad news: Our raid leader was distracted by some stuff.

Good news: We decided to go ahead anyway.

Bad news: Only five people turned up.

Good news: The Elemental Unrest had become Elemental invasions!

Bad News: Only every 2.5 hours

Good news: OMG Fun Chaos New Bosses MOVIE!!!

 

The Cataclysm Cinematic

Features a big, bad dragon and lots of things blowing up:

 

It's great to see so many familiar parts of Azeroth being rendered (and then blown up) and like the Wrath cinematic, the World of Wacraft: Cataclysm cinematic features the main plot points of the expansion's threats (world changed, Deathwing up and having breakfast).

Somehow, though, I preferred the Wrath one. This is a touch too abstract. Arthas was front and centre in the earlier cinematic, and he's a character you could get more of a grip on. Deathwing is more of a beastie, more alien to the human mind, and thus less engaging.

Shiver Me Timbers! Pirate Leafy! Aaar!

Every single stinkin' year since Pirates' Day was introduced to the game, I have missed the event. 

Not this year. It was touch and go - less then an hour before the event, I finally bagged that aceivement. And filmed a music video to celebrate:
