A guildie, and good buddy, is a bit of a server hopper. When our server, which is a quiet, RP backwater, can't provide the action he craves, he hops server for a while, and then comes back.
His latest blog post contains something I find utterly inexplicable: a server where you need the Epic achievement before you can join Naxx 10-man pick up groups. WTF? You need to prove that the run is useless to you before you can join it?
Can anyone from a non-backwater server explain?

This is a rather useful wee site: WoW Headlines.
It's much like the Warcraft AllTop, but broken down by classes instead of blogs. The majority of the subscriptions in my RSS reader are druids, bar the few dozen friends I've also added. This is a really handy way to keep abreast of discussions going on amongst the blogospheres around other classes.

As patch 3.08 hits the EU servers, Miss Elf deals with the most controversial change of the patch.
One thing I don't mention here very often is that I'm on a roleplay server. We partially chose that to get away from stupid name, and partially because a good proportion of the guild are roleplayers, some of us semi-professionally. But I have to confess that I don't do as much roleplaying in WoW as I might like to.
Blogatelle is a blog that makes me really, really wish that I did more of it. A multi-author blog that concentrates just on roleplay in WoW, it really challenged my pre-conceptions about how rich an enivronment for roleplaying the game actually can be. The group of authors mean that there's always something new in you feed reader and even if one post doesn't spark your imagination, another one will. Well worth checking out.
