So, it’s the big patch day. And what’s the first thing I do?
Well, learn the new spells, actually. And then respec. And transfer all my pets to the new pet tab. Oh, and visit Stormwind Harbour.
But once I’d done all that, the very first thing I did was get a hair cut. And, as the Duck-Billed Matticus had challenged us to post our haircuts, here are before and after shots of Leafy:
Not a huge change, I admit. I’d intended to change it more, but none of the others felt like Leaf, so I just went for a less structured, looser version of the ponytail she’s always had. After all, she’s a busy girl these days, always on the move. Keeping the old hairstyle was too much of a distraction. And the switch from the white to green reflects her increasing attunement to restoration and the Tree of Life. Leafy is close to the plantlife elements of nature, and all that time in tree form is affecting her hair and facial markings.
A small change, but one I’m happy with, for now.
So, tomorrow us EU types get to go through Patch Day Hell. And then we all have to respec, a process which I find painful and confusing, because I can’t do math like Phae.
So, I’m agonising over my spec for the next month and I’m trying to decide between two minor variants I like to call "Speed Battle Tree" and "Power Battle Tree".
Here’s the speedy variant.
And here’s the power variant.
So, it’s time for you to make a judgement. Time for you to judge if I’m coherent at 5.30am. Time for you to judge how ridiculous my accent is and the awfulness of the jokes I tell.
It’s time for you to download the second Twisted Nether round table, which features the Annas, Kes, RodentMolester and Krizzlybear. Oh, and a pair of eyebrows and a dorf chick.
You can grab the podcast from the Twisted Nether site, or from iTunes.
You will learn:
- My dark secret concerning yetis
- How Leafy goes "splat"
- Which bloggers think spending $100 on a mouse is a good idea
- How Nib will save the economy
- And, most of all, what happens when you buff the raid with a Greater Blessing of Cheese?
All this and more in the latest Twisted Nether!
So, have you noticed how often Space Goats get stuck behind old world terrain? Poor old Ularia, my space goat pally got trapped behind some scenery in Ashenvale recently, and I was forced to summon a GM to my aid. I obviously crited my summon roll, because I got a witty GM…
And you would think that would be enough. But, no, Gnatashi was better than that:
It’s wee touches like that that make it a please playing (and paying for) this game. Thanks, Gnatashi!
So, it’s 10am on a Saturday morning. And I’ve been up for five hours. Why?
Well, I was just part of the panel in the second Twisted Nether Round Table. It was a real blast, and I’ll link the podcast as soon as Fimlys, master of eyebrows, gets it edited and posted.
Now I’m off to grind some rep, because that’s all I’m fit for right now.
Apologies for the extended silence. Be been away doing the final clear of my late mother’s house, the sale of which completed yesterday.
Normal service will be resumed shortly.
